Registration Open for Upcoming Workshop for Coal Communities: Get Support Accessing EDA Funds

Calling all coal community leaders! Historic levels of new funding are now available to U.S. coal communities through the Economic Development Administration (EDA). The Just Transition Fund’s technical assistance team is offering a workshop—and one-on-one support—to provide guidance on writing a strong grant proposal.

You are invited to our “How to Write a Strong EDA Proposal” online workshop on September 23rd at 1:00 pm ET. Click here to register!

This is the second in a pair of workshops designed to help communities access new EDA funds. The first focused on how to select which specific EDA funding opportunity to pursue. A recording of that event is available here. You can also view the presentation slides here.

In addition, our team will provide select organizations with direct one-on-one support, in the form of consultation on proposal design and proposal review. If you're interested in this type of support, please also share contact information here by September 23. The demand we receive will inform our programming, and we expect to invite a limited number of organizations to apply.

Please reach out to Rebecca Huenink with any questions. And please help spread the word by sharing our Facebook and Twitter posts!

We hope to see you on September 23rd!
